Equally active in professional and scientific circles, Dr. Brown has served as chairman of the Committee on Public and Professional Relations of the American Academy of Periodontology, and he is a past president of both the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Societies of Periodontology. He was elected and served as a member of the Board of Directors, the governing body of the American Academy of Periodontology, representing every periodontist from Northeastern Pennsylvania to Northern Virginia.
